Frequently Asked Questions

What is PasteToMe?

PasteToMe is a personal clipboard that lets you save text, links, and images from any webpage and access them from any device. You can also send content directly to your email or phone via SMS.

Is PasteToMe free?

Yes, PasteToMe is completely free. Every account includes up to 50 SMS and 200 emails per month, unlimited paste saving, image hosting, and URL shortening.

Which browsers are supported?

PasteToMe has a browser extension available for both Firefox and Google Chrome. The extension works on any desktop operating system that supports these browsers.

How do I install the extension?

Visit the homepage and click the download button. The page automatically detects your browser and offers the correct version. For Firefox, the extension installs directly. For Chrome, download the ZIP, go to chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, and drag the ZIP onto the page.

Why do I need to verify my phone number?

Phone verification helps keep the service spam-free and is required to use the SMS features. It also enables two-way SMS — you can text content from your phone directly to your pastes.

How does two-way SMS work?

Once your phone number is verified, you can text or send images to your PasteToMe number. The content is automatically saved to your pastes and accessible from the website. You can also send pastes from the browser to your phone via SMS — it works both ways.

What are the monthly limits?

Each account gets 50 SMS and 200 emails per month. Your billing cycle starts on the day you verified your account. Saving pastes, images, and shortening URLs have no monthly limits.

Can I save images?

Yes. Right-click any image on a webpage and choose PasteToMe to save it. The image is downloaded and hosted on PasteToMe with a shareable public link. You can also send images from your phone via MMS to your PasteToMe number.

How does the URL shortener work?

Right-click any page background or link and choose PasteToMe. The URL is shortened to a compact pastetome.com/go/ link that you can share, email, or text.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your pastes are private and only visible to you when logged in. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use PasteToMe on mobile?

The website is fully responsive and works on any mobile browser. The two-way SMS feature also lets you interact with your pastes directly from your phone's messaging app — no browser needed.

How do I delete a paste?

Go to your Paste Bin page. Each paste has a delete button (✕) on hover, or you can open a paste and click the Delete button.

What are Game Day Alerts?

Game Day Alerts let you receive SMS or email notifications for MLB games and LA 2028 Olympic events. You choose your teams or sports, select which games or sessions you want to follow, and PasteToMe sends you alerts before they start.

How do MLB alerts work?

Go to the MLB Alerts page, select a team, and choose which series you want to be alerted for — all games, home only, away only, or pick specific series from the full season schedule. You can include game time, starting pitchers, TV/radio broadcast info, and even get a separate alert with the final score after each game ends.

How do MLS alerts work?

Go to the MLS Alerts page, select a club, and choose which matches you want to be alerted for — all matches, home only, away only, or pick specific matches. You can include kickoff time, TV broadcast info, and get a separate alert with the final score after each match ends.

How do LA 2028 Olympics alerts work?

Go to the Olympics Alerts page, select a sport, and choose which sessions you want to follow. You can select all sessions or specific ones like finals and medal events. Alerts are sent before each event starts with the date, time, venue, and event description.

Do alerts count against my monthly limits?

Yes. Each alert uses one SMS or email from your monthly allowance (50 SMS, 200 emails). If you enable "Final score after game ends" for MLB, that sends a second message per game. You can see your estimated usage on the alert settings page before saving.

Can I get alerts via both SMS and email?

Yes. When setting up an alert, choose "Both" as the notification method and you'll receive each alert via both SMS and email. Keep in mind this counts against both your SMS and email limits.

How many teams or sports can I follow?

You can set up alerts for up to 5 MLB teams and 10 Olympic sports. Within each, you can customize exactly which games or sessions you want to be notified about.
